Join-up

Sergio a whole life dedicated to the love for horses and their training through the method of gentle taming join-up. A method in which man and horse enter into total empathy

In this period we often hear about social distancing due to the pandemic that has kept us apprehensive for a year.
However, there are those who have made isolation a lifestyle in a totally different key.
I'm talking about Sergio Ricci, a truly unique and special character who for his love for nature and for horses has chosen to live in a house in the middle of a forest on the hills overlooking Lake Trasimeno and in the company of his horses.
Sergio is known for being one of the first trainers to use the gentle join-up method in Italy.
This is a method that is based on the non-verbal language that the trainer uses in order to establish a relationship of mutual respect with the horse, adapting to the latter's language.
Man and horse build an empathic relationship of mutual trust and this facilitates the training of the animal that better receives the stimuli, without there being violence or forcing.
A sweet tame that needs time but is extraordinarily effective and fascinating due to the complicity that is created between man and animal.
Sergio is proud to have been one of the first to import this method from the United States where he moved for a few years after leaving his previous occupation and where he worked for some time learning the secrets of "The Horse Whisperer".
Once back in Italy he dedicated his entire life to this and he chose to do it in a total way. This is the story of his daily life and his extraordinary method achieved by following him in his activities for about two months.
