Congregation

In a year were social distancing and congregations, gatherings, meets became illegal I dedicated the year to find the greatest Wildlife congregations.

the year 2020 stopped for many months human kind. Almost everything was closed and only essential business were open. But the natural world kept on going, and kept doing what they do since a long time, only less disturbed by human interaction. I visited Antarctica and especially the sub antarctic island of South Georgia to witness the natural spectacle of the King Penguins nesting, then I flew to Tanzania to catch up with the head of the Great Migration, the Zebras leading the Wildebeest around the Serengeti.
Many months later I encountered the massive herds of Wildebeest in the Maasai Mara for one of the most iconic natural spectacles: The Mara River crossing. In Kenya I was able to follow herds of elephants that struggle during the dry season to migrate from national park to national park in search for water.
To conclude my year I went to Zambia to witness the Biggest Mammal Migration in the World, over 10 million Straw-coloured Fruit Bats arriving to this forest in Zambia.
