During the spawning period, the Lucioperca becomes very territorial and aggressive and has no qualms about attacking even divers.Contrary to what its name might suggest, the Sandra or Lucioperca is not a cross between a pike and a perch. It is an autochthonous fish native to Central Europe and also introduced here. It belongs to the same family as the perch, whose shape and colouring it vaguely resembles.
