Sleeping by the Lesser Khingan

The Khingan Mountains in Northeast China is one of the most abundant regions in terms of forest resources. Forestry used to be a pillar industry in the local area; however, due to the impact of forest protection policies, forestry operations have gradually been shut down. Local residents, especially employees from the forestry sector, need to find new livelihoods. Tourism has become a new focus for development. These photos document my observations in the former forestry areas. The vegetation is rich, and the forests are dense, leaving a profound impression on me. Balancing effective utilization of these resources while conserving the forests is currently a key concern in the region.
