Stranger at Home
A photographic distillation of the experience of being stuck between two cultures
For some people, the experience of “home” is shot through with a tension between intimacy and distance. What does it mean to be truly at home? How does it feel to identify most not with one culture or the other, but with the fluid, changeable space between the two?
Stranger at Home seeks to capture this in-betweenness. The work examines how it feels to be a product of two places, two cultures, without ever fully belonging to either.
