Long haulers

Women between 40 and 50 years old represent 7 out of 10 cases of Long Covid, a disabling and invisible disease which could affect at least 65 million people worldwide, is expected that more than 1.3 million people suffer of Long Covid in Spain. After four years since the pandemic, many still suffering the consequences of the illnesswith almost any recognition or help by public institutions. The disease makes them impossible to return to their previous lifes and jobs, the fact that women are the most affected by the disease makes the situation more invisible to society. This on-going project documents these women, the consequences of the disease in their lifes, the feelings of fear, helplessness, the shattered expectations, and the struggle to move on without help.
