Lamorris Parker is a former resident of "The Zone", the area around the Central Arizona Shelter Services campus in Phoenix, Arizona where people experiencing homelessness live when the shelters are full. And the shelters are always full.

Lamorris Parker is a former resident of "The Zone", the area around the Central Arizona Shelter Services campus in Phoenix, Arizona where people experiencing homelessness live when the shelters are full. And the shelters are always full. Lamorris is incredibly charming, outgoing and kind. Despite working full time as an independent contractor it was very difficult to find appealing housing due to the lack of affordable housing in Phoenix and a past eviction. Lamorris has since found housing. This Is My Rock is a long term documentation of his life and refers to the title of his favorite poem, which he learned in prison; "This Is My Rock" by David McCord:

This is my rock
And here I run
To steal the secret of the sun;
