I'm here - Refugees

Photographs taken in Lampedusa (a small island in the Mediterranean, a destination for migrants from the sea, who have left the African coast). They are men and women but also children who have faced a long journey, first by land, perhaps through the desert and then by sea, escaping death several times. They are not guys posing or in a set, they are people who have just landed, people who have been reborn. Sometimes they are exhausted and sometimes they smile because they feel safe by now.
