ATOMA

ATOMA is an immersion in contemporary Athenian youth.

I was interested in an Athenian youth that prefers not to approach its political or economic situation, that no longer dreams of its future nor remembers better days, but forgets itself in the urban night and try to live their youth. They live in a carefree way, but without being able to project themselves towards their future, as if suspended in a night dream.

The photographs are taken with film and neon light. The public or private spaces that serve as a frame for ATOMA's photos were chosen by the subjects, met in Athens between 2018 and 2020.
