Crazy life
13 May 1978, the then President of the Republic Giovanni Leone signed the law 180 (known as the Basaglia law) which imposed the closure of the Italian asylums. 40 years have passed and what remains of it appears to be dilapidated buildings abandoned to themselves themselves, as were the people who once lived there. The story is there and you can imagine it everywhere despite the devastation perpetrated over the years by hordes of vandals, telling us about loneliness, discomfort, pain and madness. A sequence of 12 shots that tells the story of thousands of human beings who have been denied the freedom to be individuals.
