Italian Derby
Derby Day is the most awaited and important event of the entire season in any country where galloping horse races are held. The first Italian Derby took place on 21st April 1884 and today has more than 130 years. The race can be run only once in a horse's life and takes place on a path of about 2,200 meters. As in Ascot or Longchamp, the day takes place in the name of fashion and charm. Hats and binoculars are considered essential accessories for guests of honor.
It was interesting for me to be there. What I wanted to show is this cross-section of modern society in an ironical perspective to highlight the “back stage” aspect I've been able to catch during this kind of event.
