The big fear

The Great Fear is a photographic project on fear, or rather, on the frightened and rabid country Italy has become.

Italy, scared of the invasion of the foreigner, that mobilizes through pseudo-apolitical committees, marches, demonstrations, and that attacks and kills those who violate its territory.

It’s been a 2 year long hallucinating journey that took me to protest rallies against imaginary five-star hotels confiscated and given to refugees, inflamed municipal assemblies, live tv broadcasts, introduced me to gentlemen who proudly define themselves as racists, bishops who are Putin admirers, and people who, just like Trump, invoke their right to self-defense
