Baobab immigration centre, Rome.
Baobab is an immigration centre in Rome managed only by volunteers. Hundreds of volunteers, of any age or sex, donate part of their time assisting 24 hours X day most of the immigrants coming to the capital city.
This centre welcomes most of the immigrants coming from Libia and Africa (mostly of them are men and children) who survived a long trip through the desert and sea.
Volunteers and local associations provide food, clothes, legal and medical assistance thanks to the donation of the common people.
Italian government isn't able to provide real and full assistance to all the immigrants and this happens especially in Rome, where two years ago most of the immigrations centre have been shut down during the "Capital Mafia" investigation.
