Magalys.

I grew up with the idea that cuban women were frivolous and easy. I have built this idea because of different stories of people who travelled to Cuba for sexual purpose. In the 90th years it was very normal and I remember a lot of stories about this attitude. So, when I went to Cuba, I realized that it wasn’t how I always thought. I realized that there is a women’s world done of family, traditions, love and sharing. And it was Magalys the person who has explained me, giving me the possibility to live together, at her home in Santiago de Cuba and with her whole family. Magalys, woman, wife, mother, worker, is an example of femininity and sacrifice, a way of life which is, in my opinion, deeply rooted in Cuban culture. I met a women’s idea and a family’s idea that I couldn’t image. Thank you, Magalys.
