Dreams of Kyoto

Kyoto, the ancient capital of Japan. Certain things have remain unchanged over the past few centuries. Traditional kimono are still commonly worn by the local residents and this is the place where Geishas, Noh and Kabuki plays remain active. This is the place where my ancestral temple is located. I come here four times every year. Each time I come, I walk the gardens and temples with my Japanese friends and thankfully photograph some of their friends in traditional costumes and the beauty and elegance that lie within each move and act of them.

All photos are done using natural lighting only. It is strictly forbidden to use any tripods, reflectors, flash or LED lighting within the temple grounds.
