Latitude of the Self

The series is a reportage in the form of an intimate travel diary.
The question behind the project is: what if souls survive to particular latitudes only? Genetically predisposed as bodies, they collapse outside their frame of reference. When we migrate our souls begin to work on adaptation: adjustments may take time or never happen. As I moved to Finland I found myself lost for a long period, despite the welcoming system and the kindhearted persons I met. Eventually, I recognized I was undergoing a deep process. My awareness inflated - along with my vision of things - as I started to be thrilled by insignificant and ordinary places.
The title of the series covers two functions. At a first glance it is has a geographical reference. As an afterthought it suggests that anyone of us owns a measure of how much consciousness can be over exposed or under exposed to experiences just like the photographic paper does with light.
