A Childhood Summer

With this ongoing project I go back to the places in the swiss mountains, more precisely in a valley called Calanca, where I spent the summers of my childhood with my grandparents. I travel a lot and I don't live home anymore but my roots are there. The environment - the place and especially the people - where one grows up and has memories of, I believe has a deep connection with what that person becomes.

This story, through a portrayal of places, situations and people, wants to be a homage to my grandparents and to the time I spent with them but also an opportunity to examine how personal feelings and memories can become some sort of universal emotion.
