Iraq is host to almost 250 000 Syrian refugees.With escalation of the conflict the protection of civilians is one of the main challenges for local authorities and international aid & humanitarian organisations. With limited access to safe ground and housing, the affected population is housed in temporary accommodation of various sorts, even in Saddam Hussein's former Iraqi prison.
