Make Me Whole Again

'Make Me Whole Again' documents the emotional journey of residents at a holistic drug-rehabilitation centre for minors in southern Colombia.

Colombia is widely known as one of the largest exporters of illegal narcotics but it is less well-known that one-fifth of the cocaine produced in Colombia is being consumed domestically - and is on the increase, particularly amongst Colombia's youth. Fundación Hogares Claret, a holistic, drug-rehabilitation centre for minors, was set up in the 80's by a Claretian Priest and provides rehabilitation for children aged 5 - 18, suffering from drug and alcohol addiction as well as criminal behaviour. The program takes an abstinence-based approach where a core element of their treatment is twice-daily meditation and yoga sessions as well as individual and group therapy.

N.B. All names have been changed for the protection of those who are shown in the images, all of whom are considered minors by international law.
