THE SEA'S APPRENTICES

This work was realised in Boulogne-sur-Mer, northern France, by following the students of a professional college during their training in sea trades, in the classroom as well as during various on board work experiences.

My purpose was to discover who are those adolescents and what led them to choose a trade among the most dangerous ones in the world, as demanding as socially precarious.

I intended to point out how much, despite their early age, they are already aware of belonging to the world of work and to the one, so special, of the Seamen they'll be tomorrow.
