REPORTAGE MENTALE: CONSCIO ED INCONSCIO

Leopoldo Bon, nato a Trieste nel 1950, si trasferì a Modena dove visse e lavorò fino al 2011.

Dal 2012 vive a Monfalcone dove sviluppa a pieno titolo l'interesse per la Fotografia. Il condizionamento inconscio dell'arte dello zio, pittore informale triestino, l'uso della macchina fotografica fino da giovane età e l'attività di ricerca sperimentale sul controllo oculomotorio e sui processi cognitivi ad esso correlati, hanno portato Leopoldo Bon a dedicarsi alla fotografia.

Il Filone principale di ricerca fotografica che caratterizza l'amore per quest'arte è l'intenderla come astrazioni e percezioni del mondo che ci circonda e della visione interiore di se stessi.

Leopoldo Bon ha avuto pubblicate sue foto su libri e riviste specializzate. Ha pubblicato un catalogo "Astrazioni: percezioni informali dello spazio" ed un libro edito da ArteStampa di Modena dal titolo" "Watch and Image". È risultato vincitore del Portfolio a Lucinico nel 2013 con il tema "Watch and Image: la vita". Ha collaborato con la rivista "IL FOTOGRAFO" e collabora per la didattica fotografica con il Collegio del Mondo Unito di Duino (TS).

Ha realizzato mostre fotografiche personali a Modena, Trieste, Roma, Ferrara, Bologna e prossimamente a Milano; ha partecipato a mostre collettive ad Amburgo e Barcellona. Sue foto si trovano in collezioni private.

Leopoldo Bon was born in Trieste, Italy in 1950. He worked as a Researcher in Neurophysiology from 1973 to 2011 and then as Associate and Full Professor in Human Physiology from 1986 to 2011.

The activity of photographer as an amateur started in 1964, but the passion for research and teaching was stronger and then he devoted his life to it. The change from the analogical system to the digital one and the maturation of motivation moved him back to his first passion, photography. The unconscious imprinting of informal pictures, deriving probably from his uncle, oriented him to an abstract form of photos.

If you look around, you may imagine an unreal and wonderful world. One of the best examples could be represented looking the water, the light which illuminates it, and feeling the wind that blows it.

With a photographic release, you can capture the absolute immateriality, as if what you are seeing did not exist.

The image is unreal and represents a fleeting moment. The water and the light alter the structure of reality through the force of the wind.

Choosing the right moment depends on environmental characteristics and observational abilities.

To bring the nothingness toward something visible depends on the photographer's creative abilities in using the natural events and the camera.

Leopoldo Bon's photos leave our mind free to imagine without any guide. No guide may lead us toward the interpretation of this type of colors and half tones, modifiyng a sure and clear thought of our perception stirring it with the unconscious.
