Stepping Stones to Lake Saint-Jean
On a two-week trip in Quebec in April 2012, I travelled up the river Saguenay to the Lake Saint-Jean.
This region is a contrast to bustling Montreal, the Saguenay fjord and national park lying at the heart of it.
I was in awe of the peacefulness and eerie atmosphere of nature gently waking up after the cold winter snows. I spent most of my trip trying to capture the serenity emanating from the landscapes with my camera.
Reaching Lake Saint-Jean I took a series of photos of the shores, where the ice and snow cover was slowly retreating.
These stones seemed to be floating on the water, leading the lonely traveller along a path…
