The Kawa Ijen, Java East Timur, Indonesia

In a wonderfull magic volcanic scenery, poor sulfure takers go down the cratere to extract the precious sulfure, then climb up back the cratere and have again to go back the slopes of the vulcano to sell the sulfure to unscrupulous buyers companies. They do 2 or 3 time the way go and back...to give you an idea, it took me 4 hours and a half to do the same walking...one time...

This photo work is an hommage to these people, poor, but with a courage and abnegation i had never seen before by workers of any kind...
