A young mountain gorilla poses in front of my camera
While in Uganda, I had the opportunity to visit the Bwindi's Impenetrable National Park, home to the majority of Mountain Gorillas left in the world, around 400. The rest of them are in the same area, but in different countries: RDC and Rwanda.
We hiked for 2 hours and arrived face to face with a big family, with 3 young ones playing, very active. This one posed for me, looking straight at me. The look reminded me where my passion for apes came from. It was at the zoo as a kid, when I first looked into the eyes of a big lowland gorilla silverback. He looked into mine too. At least I like to think that.
