In the way to "Promise Land"

The informal camp at Idomeni, created by the flooded masses of refugees stack at the border line in their effort to reach Central Europe aiming for a better life, reflects in my eyes as the ultimate crossroad.

I believe that this border crossing became Europe’s a most significant frontier of our times.

The passage from war’s total devastation to the “ promise land “ that Northern Europe countries appear to be in the eyes of these people .

Let us not forget that over 800.000 refugees passed by from this informal settlement.

So, through my photo-lens I tried to capture those people’s condition and feel how this situation reflects into their souls.

In order to achieve this I spend a lot of hours talking with families, gaining their trust, just to be able to get a true,sincere portrait out of them.

My belief , is that children in particular are not just the innocent victims, but also lose brutally their childhood under these circumstances.

That is why I chose from my whole portfolio of the refugees at Idomeni camp to present you mostly pictures of children, in my effort to provide you a glimpse of their lifes there.
