It's difficult to assume the passage of time when, despite the evidences, oneself

still feels young, but the truth is that there is a moment in which certain means activate and make you be conscious that something is changing inside yourself.

Neither the mirror is specially accuser when you use to look at your reflection daily, nor the family or close friends that you frequently see and to whom time passes at par as for yourself.

When you have a look at these old photo albums where you appear 30 years younger and almost can't see yourself in, when the letter size of the restaurant menus and newspapers is smaller every day, when you go for a drink at one of your lifelong bars and you don't know the music that is playing, when the decision of having or not babies stops being an option, when the metabolic changes provoke alterations in this weight that had always been regular, or when some of your beloved ones have passed away, it is when you are really conscious that you are growing old.

In spite of that, not everything is negative. If fortune smiles upon you, the emotional, labour and economical stability that let you live comfortably, travelling and going out frequently, the freedom to decide without depending on others opinion, the layers of knowledge that you have been accumulating due to the experience or the great amount of worthy people that have gone with you along the way, are only some of this new stage advantages.

Photography of objects is a constant in my work. I have always thought that they are an ideal tool to portrait the human race and its peculiarities.

On this occasion, I have tried to reflect, through the photographs of some of my personal projects, daily situations and places directly related to me, the sensations and changes that I have experimented by going beyond the fifties barrier.
