New York City in the time of Covid-19
Portraits and Street Photographs depicting fragments of Covid-19's effects on a community in New York City, USA.
“New York City in the time of Covid-19” is a series of Portraits and Street Photographs that reveal evidence of the changes endured by one community during the Coronavirus Pandemic between 2020 and 2021. From small business storefronts to the Metropolitan Transit Authority’s famous subways, one can see neighbors and strangers alike wearing face coverings and taking social distance precautions to keep one another safe. As the city’s workforce fights to keep employees on the books, we see them persevere. As testing methods develop, access to testing at home and in the community increases. Healthcare workers, who serve on the frontline of this tragedy, are seen nobly carrying out their duties at Kings County Hospital in one of the city’s hardest hit areas.
