The life I didn't want

Behind every mask there is a story to be told, a smile to be discovered... or perhaps nothing at all.

It's been almost a year. A year of intense changes. We have tried to find a way out of so much loneliness, fear, despair. Often we have found it in love towards ourselves, towards those closest to us. We have adapted our gestures of love to the new demands, to the rules, to the longer times. The youngest look to the future with hope, the oldest with boredom, lack of confidence and resignation. Those who do not have long to wait.
We have decided to continue our lives without fear. But we have lost a lot, especially the joy of seeing a sincere smile behind an anonymous mask, to be thrown away after a few hours.
