Un vestito, un pane, un frutto (A suit, a loaf, a fruit)

In the past two years almost 300.000 migrants fled their home countries trying to enter Italy. Every day these young people confront the difficulties of the inability of a Country to handle the immigration policies. About 80% of asylum seekers were hosted in temporary shelters. The overcrowding of the shelter refuges, the long waiting period for the assessment of asylum requests and the fact that legal assistance is not systematically provided are just some of the problems that make integration difficult. These pictures, shot in my hometown, show normal life scenes of a group of migrants and the day they have spent in a school waiting to be moved in a bigger shelter refuge.
