My most memorable journey

We often gain the impression by reading public media that Iran is anti-western and somewhat eccentric. There are seldom reports written on its people’s daily life. I was full of curiosity when I took a trip for two weeks in April 2014. The journey was indeed an eye-opening experience as everything seemed quite familiar and yet so different in a new setting, and the reality was far from my initial apprehension. Iran has amazing landscape and architectural wonders but what stroke me the most, above all, is the genuine hospitality of local people, the simplicity of a happy ordinary life, and a sense of overall social harmony and peace. I hope my photos tell the story and convey the image. After all, seeing is believing!
