History of lake and its mountain men - Land of Nowhere

These photos were taken on Lake Como, my land, the land I like to call "Land Of Nowhere". They are not from the touristic part of it but from the intimate and forgotten one. This "Land of Nowhere" is populated by fishermen and farmers living in small, rural and forgotten villages surrounded by narrow valleys, lake mists and forests . Because the view of this short but cruel narrative is not for everybody i have decided to use black and white with grain and the boken to make it more gentle. The fishing and the slaughter of the pig, a parallel between the lake and the mountains, between men and women living this land.
