Dodging and breaking up lurking clichés, striving to create a personal vision of Switzerland, that is what motivates this project.

I use the border area as my point of reference in moving along the country. There where Switzerland`s self image begins to dissolve, along the borders, I do not take with me that which is clearly visible. Instead of making the border apparent, I want it to emerge as a metaphor for our own personal limits that we are exposed to and that, very often, we have no influence on.

In this way, I do not document that which we already know. Instead, I am on the move right through the middle of a place. Because, by letting my biography guide me, I need to take a look at that which the respective residents tend to ignore.
